2 Day Course

This two-day Woodturning course is designed for beginners and those looking to improve their skills. The course covers the fundamentals, starting with a practice piece where participants will use the six basic turning tools. Emphasis is placed on sharpening these tools, and tool skills and finishing techniques are integral components of the program. By the end of the course, participants will gain the knowledge needed to advance their woodturning abilities. Led by the calm and supportive instructor, Mark, students will have the chance to create up to four pieces, including a tool skills practice piece, mushroom or toadstool, vase, and small bowl. The course not only focuses on tool usage but also covers sharpening techniques, the application of abrasives, and various finishing methods, along with guidance on when to use them.
